Normans fight the Saxons from England in the famous Battle of Hastings, October 1066. Normandy conquers England and William is the victor.

With Williams victory in battle he becomes known as William the Conqueror. Prior to winning the battle, they referred to him as William the Bastard, as he was the son of the tanners daughter from his fathers affair. All for forgiven and forgotten when William was crowned King of England at the age of 38.

Woven in France, 66w x 28h, 100% cotton, dry clean.

Ships land on English soil where William and horses step ashore, in this fine Bayeux Armada Tapestry.
