da Vinci's Vitruvian Man Tapestry

Born (1452 - 1519) just outside of Florence in the small town of Vinci, and came to work as an apprentice for Verracchio the Renaissance master, when he was 17 years old. He flourished in the arts and science from then on.

One of Leonardo da Vinci's more famous works is the Vitruvian Man, where one can easily see his blend of the arts and science at work.
