Deer & Shields Tapestry

Medieval Tapestries

The colorful and charming deer in the forest surrounded by the shields that show the Coat of Arms of the Knights of the Round Table in King Arthur's court. Tapestry, Deer & Shields is number four of six panels that make up The Quest of The Holy Grail Series. Originally woven by Morris & Co in 1900 and hangs in the Birmingham museum. Artist Edward Burne Jones created the original designs for the William Morris and Company to weave this series into works-of-art.

This handsome Medieval wall hanging provides a representation of these men by their coat of arm displayed on the shields, of which some will say there were 12 brave knights and others up to 150. King Arthur's men were no ordinary group and held superhuman abilities and skills. Some of our most notable knights are Sir Lancelot, sir Galahad, Sir Boris, Sir Kay, Sir Goyette and Sir Bedivere.

Two Sizes: 48w x 27h | 92w x 52h, woven in Belgium, 54% acrylic, 43% viscose, 3% cotton lined with sleeve for rod, dry clean. Rod & tassels sold separately.

The Vision wall hanging comes from The Quest of the Holy Grail. Nice.

See Medieval Tapestries for more selections.
