The mythical fable of Camelot, King Arthur and his famous knights are shown in this first of six series of panels that tell the tale of The Quest of The Holy Grail. This Tapestry, The Knights of The Round Table shows the Maiden of the Quest arriving at the court to summon the knights to the quest.

King Arthur is wearing the gold crown and holds his staff and Sir Lancelot is across the table in red robe and also crowned. The empty seat with draped cloth saying 'Siege Perilous' is for Sir Galahad, who is Lancelot's son. It is only he, Galahad who is worthy enough to be able to attain the Holy Grail. The rest of the knights at the table are are Sir Kay, Sir Bors, Sir Gawaine, Sir Palomedes, Sir Perceval, Sir Lamorah, and Sir Hector de Marys.

This is the first of six panels originally woven in France by the Morris & Co. where King Arthur and his knights of The Round Table get important news from afar.

These beautiful wall tapestries do not disappoint and are a crowd pleaser for gatherings and educational fun story telling. Looks fabulous for den or family room wall decor.
