Lady and the Unicorn Tapestry, Touch

Classic Wall Decor

The Tapestry Cycle consists of the six famous Flemish tapestries woven in Flanders in the 15th century. The Lady and the Unicorn make up these six notable works-of-art. They are considered one of the greatest art works from the Middle Ages.

This tapestry series depict the six senses: touch, sight, hearing, taste, smell, and love. Each of these tapestries shows our noble lady with the unicorn and the lion or monkey. Mille-fleurs (thousand flowers) makes up the style of this weaving.

In Touch, our noble lady stands with one hand touching the unicorn's horn, and the other holding the pennant up high, while the lion watches over them. Jean Le Viste - a powerful nobleman in the court of King Charles VI sponsored these great works that yield his pennant.

Woven chenilles & cotton complement this artistic wall art tapestry. Offered in three (3) colors: Scarlet, Indigo or Emerald.
