Dutch Post-Impressionist Painter, Van Gogh (1853 - 1890), painted during his stay at the Saint-Remy hospital and asylum and was allowed out of the grounds on occasion. This day October of 1889, he would paint his most important and best work of The Mulberry Tree. He was so exited about this achievement he wrote about it to his brother and sister many times.

This painting shows a nearly three-dimensional work of art, by Van Gogh's use of impasto - a textural richness of oil paint. This makes a beautiful tapestry wall hanging for your home decor.
