A series of approximately 250 Water Lilies (Les Nympheas) were painted by Claude Monet of his garden at Giverny, during the last 30 years of his life. This famous French Impressionist spent his time well, as these painting are on display all over the world. One of the lily painting sold for over $40 million dollars Christie's in London in June 2008.
