The oriental rugs can set you back hundreds of thousands of dollars. Oh yeah, if it’s in excellent condition and old and vintage. That’s the best of the best. Today, you can find a machine made “oriental”, which is alright, but not special.
Today you can even find artists making them by hand one by one and they are brilliant. These are expensive too, but not nearly what you would think. Many you can find for hundreds of dollars or a few thousand. Can imagine the work and time that goes into any one of these handknotted, hand tufted or hand hooked floor coverings? A ton.
